We really enjoyed talking with you about how our Law Enforcement Surveys can get you the very best community feedback. And if you are seeking CALEA accreditation, that very same information can help you satisfy a number of the CALEA Standards.
As you saw, our surveys are not just a public relations exercise – they are designed to get you real information to solve real problems and develop real programs for your community!
And remember, to ensure that your survey information reflects the attitudes of your whole community – and not just those with the loudest voice or those who feel like mailing back a survey – we control exactly who will be asked for their opinions and exactly how they are asked.
That’s why we use the most up-to-date population demographic figures to design the sample and that’s why we use professional telephone interviewers to get the information – no mailed questionnaires that are ignored by most of the people who receive them – no surveys included with municipal bills that are overlooked or ignored – no surveys in the paper that don’t get cut out and returned. In other words, no small samples and no creeping bias.
And don’t forget, we can handle all your research needs, including personnel surveys and targeted neighborhood/block surveys.
So, for your community and agency survey needs, please, contact us – we welcome the opportunity to work with you!
And the Winner Is . . .

Yes, budget constraints do plague many of us! And top-quality, reliable surveys are not inexpensive. But even when you know how valuable the information can be, sometimes a little help would be great.
In Asheville, some agencies told us about a few innovative cost-sharing ideas they’ve used successfully. In case we didn’t get a chance to share their ideas with you, we’ve listed them below along with a couple of our own suggestions.
- Local foundations, large employers, and other grant-conferring organizations can help you get the information you need to meet your strategic planning and accreditation needs. Some agencies pointed out that, since the information gathered serves the basic needs of all citizens, it is vital to the long-term health of the community -- including the business community.
- Other agencies such as the Fire Department, Public Works and the Parks Department have been invited to include issues important to them in the community survey. Everyone gets information that can help in planning community programs and everyone shares the costs involved in getting solid citizen feedback.
- The Economic Development Commission and the Chamber of Commerce can be invited to suggest key issues for both the citizen and the business sections of the survey. The information they get is often invaluable in their short-term and long-term planning as well as in their promotional efforts. These groups are experts in turning citizen and business feedback into powerful sales points whether they are recruiting businesses and industry to the area, supporting existing companies in their personnel recruiting, helping universities recruit new students or supporting tourism destinations in attracting visitors.
Once again, thank you for stopping by to talk with us in Asheville. It certainly was a pleasure to meet you and we look forward to seeing you again very soon!
